Wooden boxes need to have appropriate barrier performance. According to different requirements for product packaging, wooden boxes should have a certain barrier ability to moisture, water vapor, gas, light, aroma, odor, heat, etc. Good safety performance, the toxicity of wooden box packaging itself should be small to avoid polluting the product and affecting human health. Wooden box packaging should be non corrosive and have properties such as insect, moth, rodent, and microbial inhibition to protect product safety.

Wooden box packaging needs to achieve various protective functions, such as shockproof, moisture-proof, rainproof, and so on. In the double box packaging with inner packaging box (such as the inner box and outer box of precision instruments, bearing carton and outer packaging box, etc.), in addition to taking anti vibration measures in the inner packaging box, the inner and outer packaging boxes should be lined with paper scraps, corrugated paper, foam plastic and other anti vibration materials or suspended with metal springs according to the different characteristics of the goods. Goods are not allowed to move in the packaging box or the packaging box (box) in the outer packaging box.

To determine whether the wooden box packaging is qualified, it is necessary to consider multiple aspects. The first step is to inspect the material and material specifications of the wooden box. Visual inspection shows that the wood grain of the adjacent two layers of veneer should be perpendicular to each other. There shall be no inclusions in the plywood that affect its use, that is, they do not affect the flatness of the board surface and do not affect the bonding quality. The moisture content of plywood is less than 15%, and mold and decay are not allowed. It is not allowed to use the plywood surface with peeling and bubbling phenomenon. The splicing length of the plywood surface board shall not exceed 10% of the length in the same direction of the board, and the joint width shall not exceed 0.5mm. The surface board lamination shall not be allowed.
